Right, a few of you will have read my topic the other week about a certian member and customer of mine on here.
To make abit more extra money i buy and sell mobile phones ( not brand new )
I WAS good friends with this guy before this all started.
Basically. I sold 2 phones worth over £400 for £210 to him.
To get things straight -
He didn't ask if they were new or even what condition they were in. He sent the money down and it went through fine and i sent them off.
I get a email back basically swearing and shouting at me that i had ripped him off. He then said he had evidence of me saying to him they were BRAND new. Which i know i didn't, but still went along with. I said that if he can provide me with the evidence i will think about refunding the money.
2 weeks went by, didn't hear anything. So thought he had just seen sence and learned from not ansking enough questions ( If he had asked i would have told him )
Then i get a email 4 weeks after he has had them saying there all broken and he's sending them back...
So they arrive at my Boss's shop today ( Who i sell them with ) And we both dont know what to do.
I havent spoken to my boss yet about if they are broke etc but shall i send them back ? or what ?
They worked fine when they left me. And its his fault i know that much !
Any suggestions....?
O yea he also harrassed me in emails ( kept evidence ) And also still owes me products that i have paid for
HELP ME !
Ps - He aint got a good name on here

If its a private seller they have no comeback whatsoever.
If this guys complaint has any grounding whatsoever (ie. £210 is expensive for what he received) or you want to continue selling phones without a reputation for pedalling old crap then you need to act.
You're not legally required to do anything at all. However, you do need to sleep at night.
The fact you're buying and selling as a private individual says to me that they're too expensive given you're not obligated to offer any comeback, and you're not volunteering any.
