i've been on to Churchill today and they advised me that an online quote is based on the assumption that you have no optional extras/modifications (its in the terms & conditions statement apparently). This means that if you have anything non-standard on the car (that would have cost extra) then this would not be covered - you must ring them up and declare all you options for them to be covered.

i was insured with em last year mate, and i was payin £472 FC on the GSi ( grp 11) and i declared the mods for no extra cost

i was also insured with em for my vectra prior to the corsa, and i added my 17s at the value i paid for em and i got the whole amount of the wheels on top of my claim when the car was stolen, £700 for alloys that i had the receipt for
theyre very good as far as insurance goes mate
