Sorry about asking another one of these VS questions, (last time it was VTR) but heres why.......

Me and mate are selling our corsas, he's getting a 306td and i was getting a vtr but cant afford insurance so im going to settle for a furio i think, we r both very competitive and we always have little niggles about whos got nicest, fastest car etc Just want to know if the furio would beat the 306 td in a 0-80 race???

sorry for asking again!!!

Cheers, Jamie

Boy at work just got a 1.1 Furio

For a 1.1 too an extent they are nippy compared to a few 1.2's I know BUT i'd have to say the TD would beat it.

Would never buy a paxo myself

yeah true but just want something newer, ive spent almost £5000 on doing it up somehow and am very proud of what i have done but sometimes i wish i had saved and got something newer and quicker,

just took a look on parkers and it says the furio would beat it between 0-60, suppose it would catch up and take me from there onwards though huh?

cheers guys, Jamie

Furio is only done in a 1.4. It's basically the VTR but without the alloy wheels, white rev counter and seats.

Saxos are nice cars but mine does not seem as solid as the 106 did. Maybe it was the added dirt though

Oh yeah, i though i would also add that the brakes on the Saxo are wank. I had mine tightned as i though i was gonna die a few times.

The power is alright in a 1.4 mind, nothing mad, just nice

1.9 td 306 is slow compared with a 1.4 306. My parents had one of each, guess which one i lent

As dousey says though, once the turbo kicks in, it will keep up with the 1.4 paxo quite easy
