got up this morning went out to the car, opened the boot and now it wont close. the boot lid comes down but the lock wont engage. help!!!

That happened to mine the day i sold it , i took the lock off and the cable thing come off that i was using as i had a flushed tailgate.

Is it locked when its open? If so it wont close?

I couldn't close mine till I moved the guys foot outta the way, bit of a struggle but eventually got the boot closed

mine did this.... i just slammed it! and the catch eventually moved...

push the button in and flick the catch back over. it sounds like the latch is in the closed posistion

Happened to me that recently. Nothing to do with the locking mechanism. It was this bit:



The bit that the mechanism locks round.

Need unscrewing and pull back a bit. To Me
