do you mean rear projection tvs like you see in loads of pubs, or actual projectors? Rear projection TVs arent known for their good image quality, but they are a lot cheaper than the alternatives at that size ie plasma and the largest CRTs.

Would love to know how the hell you could afford a projector TV after just finishing your car.

They come in at a couple of grand for a decent quality one. The Lumens is the brightness/quality of display, the higher the number theoretically the better the image.

Cheap projectors are about £500 and they are about 1000 - 1300 ANSI lumens. They are good.

Even better projectors again are between £600 and £1200 and are between 1500 and 2000 lumens.

All projectors between 1000 and 2000 lumens

other things to watch for, as well as lumens, (basically the higher the lumens the brighter the image will be) is contrast ratio, the higher the ratio the better qualitiy the image will appear to you

Also need to look at what the image is projected on to, some screens are better than others, and projector positioning in relation to the screen is important, some higher range projectors offer facilities to adjust keystone to correct poor projector positioning.

http://www.wedgwood-group.com/ is a usefull resource for prices and advise, i stock the sanyo range up to 10,000 lumens at the moment and use them mostly in our hire stock for high profile conference work, very reliable and quiet machines.

Hope thats a bit of help sorry for the essay lol!
