Whats more reliable for an everyday car?

C20XE 2litre or

C20LET 2litre turbo?

for a conversion i'd imagine the xe, due to heat etc... but i dunno

XE by a mile.

Law of averages say less things to go wrong! But you could buy a lemon XE and it'd be miles worse than a decent LET. Mines had some serious abuse and the engine had not let me down once! Just everything else attatched to the car seems to break LOL

So far:
Hub and bearing
Leading to brakes getting fooked
Petrol Tank... hole in! (Nothing to do with power i guess)
Gearbox hoofed (just a syncro, but still annoying!)
Brakes now have a leak of fluid somewhere.

Sure there are other things I've forgotten!

The smile factor still outweighs the annoyance though!

timrud_ you've got the Irmscher fronted 2ltr turbo haven't you? Your car is sweet!!!

I'm torn at the moment, I drive my car daily and can't really be doing with the engine blowing and leaving me with no car, but i would love a 2ltr turbo!
