This is one of the reasons mine is going...fuel consumption...my dads business can supply me with free diesel so a nice GT TDI 150BHP Golf will fit the bill...cost me nothing to run...I am now of the opinion I would sooner have money in my pocket these days that waste it on needless things...plus the golf is a nice car anyway...

my ctr is quite good on petrol. A full tank can often do me 300 miles being driven quite hard and more if i take it sensibly.
