ok fair enough, i was answering sarahs theory on her 1.2 sugestion
a vaux 1.2 engine has 4 cylinders

1.2 + 1.2 = 2.4
4 + 4 = 8

2.4 litres with 8 cylinders thus making it v8

her theory was wrong

it's unfortunate that some people cannot read a statement then enter it into their brains in the correct sequence, mart made this mistake in jumping to the conclusion i answered the wrong question, i answered to sarah's question.

no smart arse a v6 has 6 cylinders 24v twin cam and a 1.0 has 3 cylinders 12v single cam, making it half

[Edited on 08-09-2004 by M2RV H]

Hehe...the V6 is four cam, the 1.0 is twin cam

Would be like, 1.0 6v or 2.5 12v in that case yeah?

Mav, won't fit the Veccy without a LOT of work. They're sold as a universal filter (except for the Clio V6 kit that K-Tec do) and we actually had a bloke calling today saying he bought one for a Vectra and it didn't fit...
If you can get it to fit, get it I'll get dimensions for you to play about with - maybe make a cardboard mock-up

Pipercross induction kits come with Vortex foam, which is probably what you're thinking of.
Vortex foam, Vector top, Viper kit, Velocity Intake System... confusing ain't it

Both are the same price because whilst the Viper Evo flows loads more air, you can only fit it to a handful of cars with a bit of effort and even fewer cars with no problems at all - so it's sold as a universal filter.

The normal Viper is typically a tailored kit (although universal ones are still available) so you know that if you buy it for your car, you'll have no problems fitting it (or if you do, full support and help to get it on!).

Also the Viper Evo doesn't use carbon fibre.. for now. The black part is heat reflective paint.
