got hold of a HP laserjet 4, which i'm trying to set up.
it prints a test page ok, but wont print anything from disc.
just updated the drivers, but i'm not sure what port it's supposed to be set on. what would the default port be??
i've not got the instruction book, so just trying to bumble my way through.
any help greatfully recieved

don't understand why it's not working.
just comes up with: Error - printing

Have you tried a different document or a print from a different application?

yeah tried paint, word, IE, and notepad.

Change the driver to a Laserjet 4L

there's a postscript driver or a PCL5e driver.

Use the PCL, although windows XP should have the driver avaliable.

think i sorted it.
dunno what pcl even is, but i changed the driver.
think the main problem was that i hadn't set it to work online 
it's not recognising any paper in the tray, but that's a different issue.
