you saw a car at a dealership that you really liked, but it wasnt worth as much as your car.

ie. car you want was worth 4k, your current car worth 7k.

Would they value yours, sell you the car you want and give you a cheque for 3k? Im not sure if they would do the deal as our audi would be harder to sell on due to modifications etc. Anyone ever been in this situation?

Nah, you can do part ex. They will offer you fuck all for yours though, probably about 5.5k if its worth 7k.

Then, they make a profit on the Audi rather than the original car.
