i had a prob a few weeks back with my car cutting out and every mechanic i went to said it was iacv and a few even reckoned alternator was on its way out, and dan asked me if my speedo was in properly, which it wasnt. he then told me about it bein connected to ecu and causing a fault code that caused engine to cut out, and when i connected it again it was working fine.

Last nite, i left my car parked for a few hours while i played football, and when i started car, the battery light came on, no radio, windows wouldnt go up, and i had no petrol or temp gauge.
all of my mates were like 00000h its the alternator, and i was just gettin really pissed off, i came home, and came online, was talkin to dan and he told me to check fuses 1 and 17. it was too dark to do this last nite cos i dint have a torch but i checked first thing this morning, and fuse 17 had gone.
changed it for a new one and wahey everything is working

So 2 times ive had problems he has solved em for me, and im really grateful,

Dan yr a star mate i owe u big time, cos if it werent for u my car wud probs have been smashed up a long time ago

Yes, speedo sensor is connected to ECU, I have to run one in my footwell of the Nova even though it does'nt do anything on my car.

Yes, because they do not realise that the speed sensor is wired to the immobiliser.

I have'nt wired it in, Lee did. Don't ask me how he just done it.

All I know is that the car would'nt run without it and that it is sitting in my drivers side footwell.

It's wired in to the ECU off of the engine bay wiring loom.

evrn if its in the footwell it will still throw up a fault when u drive cos its not detecting any speed
to do the job rite u need speed sensor off a 1.2 8v nova that fits into the speedo cable on the gear box
