when i reboot pc, i can view videos fine.

once i have a few things happening, like on the net and on here etc, when i try to view the same video, i get the sound, but a blank screen (then if i minimize it then max it, it shows the vid for 1/2 sec, then goes blank again)

happens on media player and divx player too - also in adobe premiere

any ideas?

ive updated drivers, ive uninstalled drivers and reinstalled

card = geforce fx 5200
windows 2000 pro

Uninstall all card drivers.
Remove adobe, media player and div x codecs.
Reinstall windows pro. (not whole C:\ drive)
Use windows update and get all latest updates and drivers cept for the fx card ones.
Get media player 9 off the windows update and use this only to test at first.
Go to the nvidia site and get an older set of drivers. The latest ones are only needed for modern games etc...I recommend version 40.72
http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp-2k_archive.html.
If no good upgrade to a later one after removing the old one first.
Test out on media player 9.
If all o.k reinstall adobe and div x but pay attention to the programs or file types they try to controll. Leave media player as your main defualt player.
