Need some info on them. Can they be used just like a normal camera as in take pictures, but also video too? I dont know much about them but i think i may invest in one. What would be a good spec to get looking at around 500-600 quid

my dad just got a decent one that also does photos for around 350 quid

ive got one, digicam/camcorder/mp3 player cost me 165 quid, slimline, mobiDVh10 its called, quite nifty little thing, on a 256 mb card can record an hours film in high qaulity.

would mave sure you got a camcorder that uses DV tapes to record the vids - not a memory card

yesh drewbert but mines a digi camcorder, my mate has a sony dv card and thats awesome but 500, you get what you paid for

whats the difference between memory card and the dv disks/tapes etc

what do you guys think of this one, looks good to me. So, with video, do you record onto tape, then plug it into the computer and download from the tape and save onto computer?

need a prog on pc - also a card to get it onto pc

well, i want to do it all on card then, cant be arsed with tapes. Just wanna take pics and videos and stick em on the computer really.

My Dads digi cam corder is memory stick and u can take pics as well as movies.
