Was on my mountain bike today cycling to work this morning when a car failed to stop at a junction "Failed to see me" and smacked into the side of me!It hurt! The driver still made it across the main road before stopping.
I am still alive and the result was that her car came out the worst and she lost a wing mirror and a dent on the wing! I didnt actually break any bones but my hand/arm took all the impact! My chain fell off and my rear wheel wasnt spinning properly, also my handle bar/front wheel needed serious tracking. I still made it to work! Then i went to hospital and police station!

Might have to use pavements from now on until you get the older members of the public moan. I've noticed theres not alot of that now due to the introduction of the mobile chairs. They get their own back now...

Look on the bright side, you've improved one drivers awareness of other road users. I wouldn't stop riding on the road because of it. I was knocked off my bike some years ago, just make sure you yourself are OK as there are some symptoms that can come on later on and its not uncommon to collapse and go faint even days after something like that. Take it easy!

Thanks Ian. I tend to use my bike more than i do my car but i will still ride. I am aware of the symptoms worsening after a few days e.g my shoulder hurt now. But yeah the driver looked very shocked and You could tell she'd be more carefull next time, she even offered to drive me to work. by the way there is now cliché implied to the sex of the driver. I even reckon if i was in my car she would smashed my car up.! I cant believe no car went into her as she plundered over the main road.

Unless you are planning to have the frame tested to make sure the welds are still sound, I'd make a good case for replacing the bike. I got that plus another bike hat as you're not supposed to use them after incident either.

make her pay for all the damage the daft bitch , tell her if not you have witnesses and will report her for driving without due care and attention . women should be banned from the roads or limited to 50cc scooters , then if we have a bad day we can knock one over

HI dudes i spoke to the Lady today and she was very very nervous but gave her the news that i aint suing her badly but she's willing to pay for the parts on the bike. I do respect that we all make mistakes and accidents happen, i am glad i am alive and her aswell. Also didnt mention she had her child in the back
