Right it's pissing me off now, i seem to find some mint locations for some decent photo's, then fuck them up by getting the shakes on most of them... usually the best ones .

Think i need to invest in a Tripod, but dont really know what i'm looking for. Any advice on which is better, what to look out for. Dont really want to be paying loads, as i wont get much use from it i dont think, just would be usefull to have to save the dissapointment when i get home .

Oh, Camera is a Canon Ixus V2 .

ISO is a measurement of sensitivity, the lower the less sensitive. This is good because your pictures are less grainy, but you need more light for any given shutter speed.

Jessops stuff is good, I still have one here that was £50 I think. Nice buy.

Manfrotto are the daddies - I have the same one as Icy. Unfortunately when it comes to tripods, there's only tweo things that count - mass and rigidity. The more ridgid it is and the more mass it has, the more stable it holds the camera and the more it resists vibrations. But heavy tripods are a pain to lug around. Worth it though if quality is your no 1 concern

Manfrotto all the way, think mine was about £150 too, its got double extending legs and 3 way movement on the head. Its stable with my medium format camera and that ways a shite load. If you it to be even more stable just hang your camera bag or something heavy off the middle of it underneath.

Ben.
