right i took the side off and say that white plastic thingy there, took that off and there is a mounting for a fan there. i have a bid on ebay for another black standard one so il put that one there.

i also turned around hte fan at the back and moved it up higher (hot air rises) so this is now blowing out.

what do i want to have the side fan doing? sucking or blowing?

oh yeh, and the cablies are tidied! cant do anything else with em!

In a way i agree,

however this depends on what u use the PC for,

I use my PC for gaming, and also graphic design, prob the most demanding applications to put on a PC

My PC is as you describe a "dogs bollox" styleee and i just like running things cool,

i could get away with running the whole lot on one fan, however everyone knows PC parts run better at lower temps....

My PC...

Tis scary! seriously overclocked, infact just a tad too much

use it for games, 3d rendering, compiling various programs, browsin the web & watching porn

Running an Athlon XP-M 2600+ @ 2.6GHz... Should run at around 2GHz stock

current state of the PC... the fans on the side are blowing in, have 2 80mm fans on the front now & also a fan blowing air onto the DDR heatspreaders... Currently 'still' building up a new case & watercooling system with pelts & hope to get 2.8GHz out of the chip then!

hmm intresting paul,

what are the settings on you voltages, and what settings are u running,

a 2600 @ 2.6 is extremly good,

also what RAM are you using?

im suprised you do so well off an air cooled setup,

have you thought of switching to water if your a bit of a overclocker?

only advantage you have over me si is HT (if the chip has it) & a few extra MB of memory bandwidth

Benchmarked my athlon against a few P4 systems, was raping even 3.2GHz jobbies

i used prometia, alot better then Vapochill i thought,Mach II is even better. But support is pretty shite. Sold for a tidy sum last year got a 64Bit laptop now.

I maxed DDR400 out, 200Mhz rated stuff saw me to 217mhz i think before things went funny

yup I'm currentl;y workin & buildin a dual-core WC setup, using a few parts from my old corsa aswell

235FSBx11 @ 1.8v (reads .5 undervolt tho)

DFI LanParty NFII-Ultra B MB (running 1/21 Bios with CPC off)
1Gb DDR PC3500 KingMax RAM (BIOS picks it up as PC4000 )

it runs a tad warm tho, around 35C idle @ 52C load... If its a hot day, I usually clock it to around 2.3GHz

if you can, try get a piece of foam/filter you can put between the metal chassis & the plastic front of the case so it filters the air coming in also to help reduce dust buildup!
