School boy error.

I haven't checked my oil levels for a while and thought it sounded a bit rough, so checked the dip stick and it was clean as a whistle not a drop of oil on it

Luckily I seem to have caught it in time before I did some serious damage, but it is going for a full check up tomorrow to make sure, I haven't done any damage.

WHAT A MUPPET

I thought an oil warning light would have let you know before it got to this stage?

You'd think wouldn't you, it sounded rough as fuck and I knew something wasn't right, think I was very lucky cause I have topped it up and it sounds so quiet again now.

Going to do an oil and filter change the weekend after I have had it checked over but can't believe nothing was showing on the dash to warn me

Apparently it does drink oil, but I would have thought it wouldn't have drank the sump dry?? thats why I am sending it in to be checked as there is no oil spot in my garage or drive so it deffinatly isn't leaking out any where

Cool as long as it doesn't seem like there is a big problem, I will be keeping an eye on the levels from now on

Honda actully advise (so I was told and I think it's in the handbook) that you check oil levels once a week :S I'm sure once a fortnight would suffice though - that's what I did anyhow
