R32 - for me, the best hatch ever produced. What more could you want?

911 - What model? Not too clued up on early 80s. An SC? Or were they 84 onwards? Either way, early air cooled 911 are proper drivers cars. No driver aids, just raw driving. They wouldn't be the same if it wasn't for the heavy steering.

somthing thats more comfortable to drive on long journeys, somthing that doesnt understeer like a corsa, a car that has a better torque split than about 99%/1%, somthing quicker, and somthing less expensive,
£26K 6 months old can get an evo for that.

and as drew said, what about the escort cossie

A golf without a ned bodykit? I.E one that suited the lines of the car.

There are rules. You just dont put bodykits on golfs or bmws or mercs. It doesnt work.

To be fair I saw a couple of R32's @ SP and IMO they were very impressive... low-mid 14s on a day where RX7's (& other non-4WD etc.) were struggling to make <16s

However, on the other side of the coin, I had some close fun with a few R32's and kept up with little trouble (esp in VTEC)

i drove my brothers mk 4 golf GTTDI, it was the 115 diesel but ist been chipped to 151bhp and a shit load of torque, compared to my 1.2 corsa it was something very special!
we were taking videos of the cars and he wanted one of it pulling off so i booted it off the line, with the traction controll switched ON it was spinning the 18's in the bone dry in second gear!
put a smile on my face anyway.
