u gotta be VERY carefull which gsi you choose mate as theirs not many good ones,if any, left at all!

as they are 10 year old cars now!!!!
it will be very diffucult to find one which is decent.... with no body damage/ no rust/ no crashes/ and with low millege!!

the problem with the Gsi corsa B's is they all seem to share a common problem of oil burning! which is starting to show in most of them now as they are all high milers now
and will most deffinatly need a full engine rebuild to sort out properly

me n my mate have both had same problems with our gsi's, ive had mine 2years, has done almost 90k, body is OK(not great) and engine needs rebuild as one year ago is started to burn and leak loads of oil

my advice is find one that has a GOOD service history with FULL electrics, and NOT modified, and with body in good condition, then all you have to worry about is how long engine will last! OR go for one that has had a engine rebuild already WITH receipts/evidence and gaurantee as u wont know how wel the jobs been done

its good if its standard coz it can be a good sign that no boy racer has rinced it.

check EVERYTHING! all electrics working -make sure it has "original"- electric windows/mirrors(if any), mine had no electrics, big mistake i made! bonnet/doors/boot open smoothly and no rust in joints etc

start it up when its "cold" n put ur foot down hard n see if zorst is smokey or blue ish, signs of oil burning or gasket gone!!
under bonnet check for ANY oil leaks, especailly near rocker cover and headgasket, if possible get ur head down near the gear box area n check for oil stains/leaks.

make sure theirs no ratling of any sort while driving! especially the exaust manifold sheild! i found this ratles a lot!

check the door PILLARS for cracks/rust, very common problem!!! they are just above the door handle to the left on the driver side and vise versa for passener side

hope this helps, let us know how it goes

it is SO rare nowadays to find a half decent gsi.

i think the last one i seen which was top notch was Ed Renshaw gsi (i think he sold, but aint sure about that)
