Drove the corsa for the first time properly in very wet conditions today and i have to say on 2 occassions i was like 
the first time admittedly was my fault i powered onto a exit off an island and simply drifted abit and felt the backend coming round corrected it but was still like  
then i was going dead slowly after that and came to another island which was slightly tighter than the first, i was doing no more than 20 round this island and the backend stepped out again!!!!
I have 17's I didnt think summut like this wud happen wot with the bigger tyre print, but its left me feeling slightly worried about my tyres.
Is this a common problem people have with corsa's or do u think its a tyre issue? their Nankangs which I know are far from the best tyre but I just wanted to hear wot other peoples views are on this.
If u dont get this problem or do can u post what tyres ur running and how well they cope with similer situations!

The bigger the tyre footprint the less pressure is applied to the road, so in the wet its less effective than a set of thin tyres. Thats and your tyres are dogshit.
Thats the price you pay for making the car look like a small 4x4/rollerskate.

My front end often slides about (wet and dry conditions  ), but never the back.

rear brake bias, have you lowered the car?
rear end is higher than the front (poor weight dist)

i can get back end out on frontera very very easy in wet , infact its that easy its a hazzard

I thought that the rear suspension was meant to be slightly higher than the front for handling purposes. Sure i read that somewhere.

Nankangs are wank mate. USed to have them, they were what came with my alloys. Apart from bein very soft and wearing out quickly, they have little or no grip in wet as mentioned above.
Go for Avon or BFGs next, never had trouble with either...

yer i personally wudnt have gone for nankangs but i brought the alloys second hand and they came with them already on!
My rents have had sets of Avons before and they've always been pretty good, might b worth me getting my tyres changed over to sum better rubber and selling the partworn nankangs on good old ebay!
car is lowered aswell, but i do think its the tyres sadly.....
Their was quite alo of water about today mind and i'm still finding the limits of the corsa and think i may have hit some of them today lol

Regardless of the cars I own, it is due to the larger footprint and the crappy tyres.
And hairdressers don't own turbo MR2's......only gay N/A ones!
