clever, when u get a private plate, i mean an old style one not the new 5* ones, do u have to have a space after the numbers? eg. My mate has S14MUN, is that legal, or shud it be S14 MUN, with a space?

because the 5 will had been made to like an S and im guessing theres a few spaces were they shouldnt be

If you go to the DSA web site you can choose your own letters.... all you have to have is the number... the rest you can make up.

it doesn't go on postcode. Each area is designated two letters, but the letters aren't the same as the postcode.

i have ordered private plates for my scoobie when it arrives, DVLA said aslong i have a number in the middle of the word im ok, cant have the number at the start or end of the word
