finished work at 9pm tonight , key in ignition and only just started up , but i had left no lights on or radio ect. called up to see ma gran , come out and there were fuck all there , jumped it and got to end of road and the piece of shit cut out , would not start or be bumped , so get jump leads on it , gets going then as am driving it just cuts out doin about 40mph , so tried bumping it again , fuck all there , tried jump leads again -still fuck all there . so i dumped the piece of shit in hope that someone will pinch it

i need to join the aa

or get another car

ps anyone know what it could be? too dark for me to have a look

Well the battery obviously isnt charging, so alternator or battery as mike said

sounds like what happened to me last week, check your alternator.

get the engine running on idle, put a multimeter on the battery and read the volts at idle, switch the lights on and give the car some revs, should be about 14.2 volts iirc.

had a look at it yesterday , the crimp had snapped of therefore not been able to charge , put a new crimp on and its running now
