u should really send off ur Log book to declare the engine swap and have the car registered as a 2.0 or whatever - and provide the relavant engine no.
And yes tell the insurance - otherwise ur a fool and the sort fo person who means my policy is 30 % higher than it sholld be

you'd need to send off for a new logbook with the new engine details on & the insurance would change and become that of the car the new engine came from (if the insurance company allow for transplants.)
if you dont get a new V5 or tell insurance, then if you get pulled for a spot check or have a crash, your gona get fooked over big style!

You get the engine put in the car. Then you need a engineers report and send off the log book for it to be changed to a 2.0 Corsa.
The insurance group would probably be the same as the car the engine came out of.
Best to tell them in case you smash the car up.

always wondered myself though what exactly is involved in an engineers report?
is it just a sheet confirming the engine which is in the car & that its mechanically sound?

silly piece of paper... if ya get an exhaust changed over here u have to get one welll.... depending on what mood the person the person u ring up for insurance is in
E.G Ted rings up at 10AM after changing his zorst and the insurance compnay will want to know everything about it and insist on and engineers report.
Billy rings up at 10:15AM with new kent cams, zorst, unchip and induction kit and they dont ask him about any of it.

if u go too mad with a conversion - u need an SVA - not sure if Beardy will need 1 - single vehicle approval - basically stating that teh car is so far from the original design - that it is now classed as a design in its own right and hence needs approval
My mates just having a one off car going thru SVA at the mo and theyre being right bastards - funny tho cause hes made a mini moto road legal and had it approved - the number plates bigegr than the bike - but its a pisser on the roads
