You don't need the conversion kit -

However, if you do use the conversion kit, the fitting process is identicle to that tutorial.

the one thing i'm not to sure of with that guide (which is excellent BTW) how to ya bend brake pipes? do they not break/kink if ya try bending them

Yea, you can get them from Halfords for a couple of quid, kinda like pliers...
