A female mathematician has devised a formula to help women parallel park-but most will find it even more baffling than reversing,
Surrey University's Rebecca Hoyle lists three variables:
P (position at the start of parking attempt);
G ( determines if gap is big enough ) and
F ( where front of car must go ).
P must equal r-w/2, where r is car's turning radius and w its width.
G should be more than w+2r+b, where b is distance between car's back and centre.
F must be less than w+2r-fg, where fg is desired gap at end.
There you go ladies..it's that easy.
