Got someone coming to look at the 106 later, been looking around for a replacement and have come accross this. Its an 1990 Import MR2 with 99K (Kilometers) on the clock. Its only up for £2300ono (so £2K )



Thinking of getting a cheap car that i wouldn't loose any money on and investing the rest for the sale of the 106?!

What engine, is it the G-limited import? If so apparently they are shit slow

I think you should listen to Si more.
Looks ok, cant really tell how kits fitted from pic tho, G-limited are Slooooow so dont be expecting to beat much from the lights, check cam-belt etc been changed, Breaks - these wear out fast! and suspension...ment to be dodgy on the earlyer ones.

Yeal "looks" a minter however cant tell from the pics...the G-Limited are only 120BHP I think...so if its one of them u wanna steer clear there dog slow...cambelt is a must as your talking £300 odd for toyota to change as its an engine out job...
General stuff needs to be checked...u know the score...looks nice though...I prefer the Rev3 rear light though...still nice motor though...2k is a steal..

120BHP I thought they would be more than that! Would love Kolin's but spent so much on the pug in the last couple of months i don't think i can stretch that far, also you live at the other end of the country

On face value, thats a 158BHP car not a 120BHP. The 120BHP models were called MR2 Coupes and had no rear spoiler.

Yeah the Coupe was a UK model with no rear spoiler, only made them 1990-92! Thats an Imported G-limited - 130BHP!

There was no MkII with 130BHP, the MKI G-Limited was 130BHP.
As far as I'm aware there are only 4 different power outputs for the N/A models, 120BHP, 158BHP, 174BHP and 200BHP.

There was no MkII with 130BHP, the MKI G-Limited was 130BHP.

Im almost sure I read somewhere G-limiteds were about 130BHP

200BHP wasn't a UK model, it was the VVTi BEAMS enigine in the very last Jap ones.
G-Limiteds are 130BHP, but only as MKI's.

Never ever heard of the 200BHP Beams vvti ones.....how many were made and why didnt this engine go into the MK3

Ok just been told off my mate for Mk2 MR2 Imports.
Revs 1 = 120 (same as UK?)
Rev3 = 158
Rev4 = 168 (or is this just lower than the rev3 in the UK?)
Rev5 = 200.
