Well where do you plan to stay is a start

Buy/rent/Park Bench

You need to work out how much you can afford, no one on here is going to be able to help you!

no one can tell you how much it will cost if you dont say if you are going to rent or buy.

renting can be any where from £100 a month to £100000000 a month!

100k for a niceish house (west Yorkshire, Wakefield area)
5k + to fill it with the basics getting cheap stuff.
util bills, gas, elec, water, tv, telephone - £200 min a month
council tax
general maintenance - £100+ a month
house insurance
life insurance, if your living with a partner
food £300 a month

these are all roughly from my personal circumstances.

a fair bit though mate, lol.

Depends wot u do, buying is obviously more worth while in the long run but only if you can afford deposit etc.

And tbh now prolly isn't the best time to buy, well not where I am anyway.

Have a look in the paper for local places to rent, try and encourage reliable mates to move in n share the burden of the bills with u, I shouldn't imagine it's easy
