Servicing from BMW is pretty expensive, Stevenage BMW want 100 for an oil service up to 400 for an inspection 2, before parts. Fuel is pretty good unless you are just bimbling round town, then its not so good. Mine has been very reliable, never let me down. It the best car I've owned.
I think E36 went to 99/00 but there was a facelift around 97 i think?

Its all options from BMW. You want a 328iS really, then you get the nice bodykit and an LSD.
Leather was an option, so was air con etc...I think you get seats and a steering wheel as standard!!!

Keen on the S3, whats the stats of the 1.8T? Prob a safer option then the BM tbh as the A3 would be newer and have less miles for this sort of money

For a good S3, id guess around 12-13k
Could pick up a good 1.8 T quattro for around 9-10k with lowish miles, 180 BHP, newer S3 has 225 bhp
