Author fuel pump....easy to replace?

havin to replace the fuel pump? can anyone tell me if it is easy to do and where its located?
and also what to do

Also what i replace with standard fuel pump.....1.4 8v MPI or the gsi 16v fuel pump

the inline fuel pump filter fingy near the back of the car?

Its in the fuel tank accessed from under the rear seat. Easy.

All the Mpi pumps flow the same amount of fuel.

black rubber cover under back seat... becomes quite obvious then, pull out old one with sender unit... then insert new one

pump is easy
pull of the balck cover under the seat
then gently tap the locking ring round pull out the pump by relaesing the locking tabs and disconecting the wiring

make sure the tank is low on fuel and disconect the batterey
keep all forms of ignition away from the car

and do it on a cold day aswell out of direct sunlight,

also i have a spi fuelpump here if you want it
