Has anyone had to get hold of a new one as they couldnt find their original? I got a producer last night and i cannot for the life of me find my counterpart. I've got til monday midnight to get a new copy from the DVLA.

I'm ringing them tomorrow to find out what my best bet is. For them to send me a new one ASAP or for me to visit my local DVLA centre.

6. Duplicate Licences
Driving Licence Has Been Lost, Stolen or Destroyed / Defaced

Photocard licence holders
If your photocard and paper counterpart have been lost, stolen or destroyed and provided none of the details on your licence have changed or are incorrect, you can apply for a duplicate licence by telephone using a credit or debit card. DVLA accepts Visa, Eurocard, Mastercard and Switch. To use this service ring 0870 240 0009 between

Monday to Friday 08.00 - 20.30
Saturday 08.00 - 17.30
OR

You can complete driving licence application form D1 and enclose the appropriate fee. If your name has changed since your last licence was issued you will need to complete application form D1, enclose the appropriate fee and provide original documentation confirming your new name. There is no requirement to supply a new photograph. Both forms are available from most post offices. Send your completed application and fee to DVLA, Swansea, SA99 1AB.

Note: If either your photocard driving licence or your paper counterpart has been lost stolen or destroyed/defaced you must apply for a duplicate driving licence using form D1 and return the remaining part with your application. If your licence is defaced you must return it with your application

I got a producer while waiting for my license to be sent back to me from when I sent it to be changed from provisional to full. The police just said if I took some proof I'd passed, they'd make a note that I hadn't produced it. He didn't tell me what would happen next.
Luckily, the license arrived before the deadline.

Me? Pulling out of McDonalds (I was just getting food - the 'McDonalds crew' weren't impressed with the 1.9dTi Laguna I was driving) and forgetting to turn my lights on at 11:30pm. I turned them on before he pulled me, but he still did it.
It was my Mum's car too, as mine was off the road. She wasn't too impressed
