whos the guy with the green GSi and the 3 holes in the front bumper.

i think its luke gsi or sumthing like that. anyone shed light on it??

as i'm thinking of cutting 3 holes in my front bumper for a cold air feed, and that just looks shit hot.

i did this years ago, just use like a carpenters drill, drill in the centre and the cutting device does a perfect circle

when you drill straight through the bumper does it come srtaight out into the engine or is the slam pannel in the way?

You use a hole saw or tank cutter to get the holes nice an round to that size, then you get air feed pipes from pipercross that have those plastic ends to them and slot them in the holes you made... Did it to a mates car and had the pipes feeding into the bottom of his airbox...

It's my housemate.... he didn't do the holes himself. Just simply cut out and base ports fitted in place

right cheers lads, and when i cut throught the bumper, it will go straigh throu to the engine bay? will it be easier to get an air feed from there rather than just from the bottom of the bumper??

I think it was a bit of a pain getting the air feed through around the rest of the parts in the engine bay - but if you can get it to work - it will be better than the air feed just pointing downwards

right well i'll have a go 2morrow.

it just seems that my engine bay is too full to have a cold air feed without the pipe being totally squashed. and its only a 1.4

i just dnt wanna drill the holes and not being able to do it coz it will wreak the bumper.

Hmmmmmmm, not to sure bout cutting holes into a GSI bumper, you'd be better having a vented bonnet

i dont have a gsi bumper, mines just standered with a splitter on the bottom

cheers tim i'll let you know at the end of the month when i get paid.


right just been looking on my car to cut these holes out, and.... the crash bar is in the way, i aitn taking it off. but there is a huge spae from the side of the bumper under the light, so i'm gonna drill it there.
