Again, I must have been watching a different game......England were crap between 60 & 80 minutes, trying to defend almost in their own 6-yard-box.

England did not deserve to win, based on their performance in the entire game...

exactly we sat back on a 1-0 lead inviting pressure - but there is no excuse for Heskeys lunge on the edge of the box and the pathetic back pass by Gerrard - that is poor from any professional player to lose concentration so badly at a vital time in the game. I just think the physological implications from losing the game in last 2 mins may well cost us a place in the next stage which SHOULD (after watcing croatia v switzland) by a formality!

Technically, going by the score, you were beating them for 90 minutes......but you were not out-playing them.

They had something ridiculous like 40-50 attacks within a 20-minute time-frame near the end of the second-half, because England were trying to defend almost inside their 6-yard-box, and letting them have a free-run in their own half. I think England had one decent attack in this time.

So yes, I think England were outplayed during that time......and overall, they didn't deserve to win.
