well before the engine went bang, it was rolling roaded in the cav @ 281bhp

im giving it a full rebuild, boring out to a 2.1, better exhaust system, bigger intercooler, enlarged plenumn chamber, vernier pulleys, so should easily see the 280bhp mark maybe more..

gonna save my pennies up, coz i want a T3 turbo and full motronic management and maybe nos too

and with the motronic set up i heard you can have the boost limitied in gears (or a traction control system can be set up) so the power should be a little more manageable

erm...........

1st stage of the build be ready in about a couple of months (i hope) as the pistons cost £500 for the four, and i still need about £300 worth of bits from vaux, oh and the machining costs too, but im owed a fair bit of money, so it may be finished a little quicker. (i was hoping to have it done by maxlive.....gotta pay for a re-spray tho)

If it had 281bhp before then surely it should potentially have more when youve finished. Or are you just replacing parts that were damaged?
