sounds good but its by an unknown brandmaker so take the megapixal rating with a pinch of salt cuz thats probebly after some sort of software interpolation!!!

It own't be 6.6mp. It'll be 2mp or somethin like that and use software to make it "6.6mp" which won't be as good as an actual 6.6mp camera.

maplins have a nice one for 60 notes reduced from 100
1.3 meg is like full screen size on you PC so anything bigger is not really needed unless ure ICY

Not strictly true. If I uploaded you a 'full screen' size pic from a 4MPix camera and one from a 1.3MPix camera you'll notice the difference quite significantly

but shrunken to 800x600
if i took it at 800x600 quality would be crapper.
best to take at max res then resize but knw many of u cant be bothered to

ok tim and icy ill take your word for it
on my sony (not sure of model number but it was 400 notes at xmas) i only use more then 1.3 meg when taking pics for my car i will be using for its portfolio, 1.3 meg is fine for everything else and if its just crappy fotos for 'net then i use 800*600
still think a decent 2 meg camera will be better then this one above tho. i tried one 2 week ago and it was crap, as i bought my g/f one similar

Yeah the surrounding electronics of the camera, and the lens/optical bits, are just as (if not more important) than the raw resolution of the CCD itself...
The only reason Icy's pics look better being taken at 5mp and then resized, is due to the kind of interpolation he uses to resize (I'm assuming b-spline bicubic algorithms in photoshop) so the computer can smooth edges by making up the values of each pixel based on the information contained in many surrounding pix... (*cough* geek sorry *cough*)

I bought one of these t'other day mate
came through on tuesday
NOt too bad, but is 3.3 mega pixel 6.6MPIXEL with interpolation.
Quality is quite good actuall, they are diddy cameras tho

I heard that that make is actually set up by a few people from different major companies, i think Nikon and Canon. I wouldn't be put off by it just cos it's Name. If it is Sh1t then you ain't lossed much money then.
