anyone any idea what to print custom dials onto ?

any help , links , thoughts, suggestions etc etc will be much appricated

I work for an inkjet paper and cartridge firm, we do a self assembly mouse mat kit that comes with a printable sheet of polycarbonate. has similar feel and appearance to the OEM stuff... maybe try doin a search for that.
