vehicle speed sensor

where is the bastard
my car decided to throw a engine management light up for a wee while this morning so i read the code and it comes up with vehicle speed sensor

where is it and how much does one cost

yours is an older corsa with the mechanical speedo right?

maybe a bit of wirings loose from when you did your conversion doode?

The speed sensor is in the back of the speedo. if your speedo is not working it will bring on this fault code

my speedo is cable driven and the speedo works

vehicle speed sensor is integral with the speedo... check the red/blue wire thats there, following it where poss, if not new clocks mate

you need to check the sensor in the back of the speedo

my engine is out of a gsi
my dials are out of a sri
could this be why?
do i need gsi dials??

well gsi's use leccy speedos dont they? might be the problem yeah

no the gearbox is matched the engine f15 and is cable driven
i bash me dials se if it stops it

red and blu wire... only diff yeah but i converted my sri to digidash, just unscrewed cable and screwed on transducer, gearbox type means nowt here!... except on cars where the abs speed sensor thingy is used

right ive ordered the crank angle sensor so ill fit that tomorow
and i think ill source a set of gsi dials cos itll most likel;y be that the gsi ecu dont like sri dials

right changed the cas sensor stil doing it
so ill pull my dials out now
the blue red wire is this in the multiplug?

dunno if these help but there is a red/blue wire so thats a start
so i could just be the dials.
so i need gsi dials

well speed sensor is bit directly above where speedo cable goes in
