I'm building a Mini mext year with 2 160bhp Yamaha R1 engines in the boot... If I can't afford the two R1 engines, then I might have to opt for just the one Still be pretty damn quick I think...

Nismo, where are those pics from? Looks very similar to one that a lad on my course owns, often goes out driving it in Devon too?

Everywhere I have been I have been informed that the engines are about £1000 each, the roll cages to fit them into the car ar about £3-4k depending on who you get it off. It's a long way off in the distance at the moment, as I need to read up on how to do it... I could put a Suzuki Hyabasu (sp!) in, cos they are beastly engines!!!

Aye, caterhams/westfield/robin hoods etc are MINT as fook
my mates dad has a twin 'busa westfield (modified to fit i believe). Eitherway, he recons it does 60s in about 3 seconds.....which seemed about right when i was shiting bricks when he took me for a spin. I never held on so tight in my life....it became a white knucle ride
Worst thing is, he took me on a straight stretch of road (about 5 miles long) and booted it and it just shot to 113 (according to the GPS unit) in a few seconds, but to see the road disappear so closely is an experience
It definetly got me into getting one of those things when i can afford the insurance Although, i will probably kill myself on the first day out in one

my mate has built something similar, should be finishsed this weekend. Based on a C20XE with twin 45s, omex ECU etc, and the car apparently weighs 560kg including the carbon fiber seats etc. Took him out for a drive in mine when i had the XE and he was really impressed, but i cant wait to be taken out for a drive in that!

Ignition only omex ECU I guess.
I would love to stick my engine in a Caterham/Westfield. Cant afford it at the moment though, but one day.
Bike engined cars need to be really, really light as they produce naff all torque.
