Are there any punto turbo owners on this site. I am thinking on buying one.
Are they any good?
How fast are they compared with a valver corsa?
What things should i look out for before buying one?

depends on what you do to it, what box you running etc.

2.0ltr 16v corsa on 17"s with a big boot install aint gonna get any lower than 15.9secs

but AKs "Diet Corsa" was getting into the 14secs with no interior whatsoever!

Personlly, if you can find a low mileage redtop, or even get one re-conned, then go down the valver corsa route.

Heard sooooo many horror stories about the GT boosting iffy, injector lights flashing, turbos fcukin up... the list could go on!

meheheh

have both

My 2.0 16v is soooo much quicker than the GT std engine for std engine

BUT my corsa is very stripped

I ran a 14.4 at 98 in the corsa
my GF ran a 15.9 in the wet at 80something in the GT

GT is a great wee fun car, it has its probs..... like EVERY other car....

Vibrio is being sarcastic!
For what they are, they are cracking little motors.

Just dont expect them to be trouble free...

It will give me something to do if it goes wrong.
Had my SRi 15 months and the only thing I have had to do on it is get a new clutch about a year ago. Need something more interesting.

burning off an RST can be done with a standard astra GTE, so think what you can do with the same engine in a corsa
