I thought mobile cameras actually had to have a unit stop you at the time? Isn't it just fixed cameras that can "process" the penalty automatically?
Might be wrong, not sure...

i think when you get them with the hand held gun they have to stop you on the spot but thats a bit unlikely to happen on a motorway!!
these are basically mobile gatsos and afaik work in the same manner

it wasnt dangerous so he had to slam on.
just thought this was/is the unmarked car that always goes up and down that motorway.
i know i should have been speeding, but i just didnt realise. and like that copper said who got off with 104mph, no one was on the motorway and it felt safe driving at that speed.

i would have thought if it was a speed gun, they would have pulled you further up the motorway with another vehicle as the guns dont take pics, plus if it was a mobile camera, you would have seen it flash. Hope for the best.

well i pulled straight off the motorway, it was just before the exit where i was getting off.
got off the motorway and went down the country roads to southport.
didnt see no flash the sun was in my eyes anyway. and it wasnt a police van, it s what i think was an unmarked car.

Could it have just been a normal driver parked up on the motorway bridge for a rest? Or some maintenance-crew who brought his own car along with the van parked further down the road? Or a hundred-and-one other possibilities?
Don't start worrying until the brown envelope drops through the letterbox...

well my dad is a taxi driver, always goes up and down this motorway and always sees a silver merc or volvo llike car stopping people , and there is a gold coloured one too.
the one on top of the bridge fits the discription.
why would some one be sat on there at 6.30pm on a sunday?

Well peeps stop for all kinds of reason it cud have been someone answering there mobile phone for example, and if it was a cop they obviosuly work on sundays to catch peeps like urself who were speeding, cops are wierd

well the reason i aint putting it down to it being sumone just answering there fone is because that bridge that goes over there aint like a main road or anything, so there is no reason for him to be there, well nothing other than speed camra.

i just got caught doing 90 on the motorway, 3 points and a fine. But i was pulled over by a cop car, you may be luckier cos as a few people have said, speed camera would have backup to catch you if it was one of them.
