did vauxhall get cosworth to make the 2.0 redtop engine? just a mate said this and wondered if it was true.

it was part engineered by cosworth, or some shit. The GM one is the same, just not as good quality, so goes porous more easily

The Cosworth engines known as Cosscasts had forged pistons and were hand built i believe. Although it prooved to expensive and time consuming.

cosworth designed the cylinder heads for the LET's and XE's done from belgium HQ
