Ive got an MR2 turbo, and was wondering whos got the quickest corsa on here?

I used to have a 1.2 but sold it cos 0-60 was something like 18 seconds. Sound familiar?

Whats PVS?

So has anyone got proof of a 1/4 mile time or 0-60 etc?

Any of you go to race days like TOTB (Ten of the Best), Santa pod, Donny etc?

I shall be attending R TOTB3, only as a spectator though.

I have a 15.2, respectable for the car, but there are faster ones.

Venoms is probably the quickest on here at the mo, followed by D5NNA

There's a few 2.0 turbo's like mattb's venom turbo's AP racing running 230bhp+ (upto about 280 iirc)

Lucky b's was a 2.1 16v on throttle bodies 250 horsies sub 5 seconds to 60mph, very quick 1/4 mile..but he sold it.

Adam kindness is half way thru doing something similar with less weight in the car.

Andy hamiltons got a 1.6 16v N/A running 214+ bhp with some very special bits

Sounds like theres quite a few decent 2 litre turbos then!

Do they struggle to get traction tho?

I'd imagine all that power through front wheels would spin like mad! My cars rear wheel drive and thats bad enough. Im running about 15psi and a few other goodies which gives about 270BHP. Standard 0-60 is 5.4 seconds so I'd like to think I've shaved around 1/2 maybe 1 second off.

1/4 mile as standard is 14seconds - Im aiming for low 13's. Hopefully break in to the 12's sometime soon!

Traction permitting, low 66's 0-60, but with 140+mph top ends. Mid range is very quick though. 0-60 isn't the best way to measure speed, 0-100 is

Lucky B's had a 4.97, and 149mph @ 1.25 miles. 1/4 mile of 13.2 i think was his best. Not bad for a NA 2.0 16v.

Andy hamiltons 1.6 16v has done 6.09 0-60, but now a completly stripped car, new TB trumpets, LSD and Quaiff box. Expect a low low 5 second. Not bad for a na 1.6 16v (215+bhp). Top end WAS 135mph @ 1.25miles.

Adam Kindness should be running 220+bhp when its running. Seeing as its got no dash it, times should be the same roughly as Daves old corsa (Lucky B).

Traction in a turbo is quite hard once that turbo starts spinning up. FWD cars are hard to get 200+bhp turbo power onto the road, spins 17" alloys in 4th gear, in the dry. Wet, who knows, 5th, 6th gear wheelspin???

These are pushing out mighty BHP for 2.0 16v NA's!!!

Are they the Cav or Astra engines? I know a guy who had a 2 litre turbo nova (years ago when I were a lad ) and traction was a major issue. Pull off had to be in 2nd or 3rd gear so I'd imagine the corsa's are pretty similar.
