tried the spark plugs + there fine


what else could it be

wish i hadnt washed it now

mine started lumpy after rain or washing the car, as one of my vents were right over the distributor, made a water slide and bonded it so it deflects all water to front of the bay, now its fine never had the same prob since

Its got enough petrol aint it/ fuel pump/filter ok? Do you have one of those fuel pressure relieve valves like I have on my X12Xe engine, in the bay to check that their is fuel in the lines?

If ignition is ok then look at fueling/Ecu...

Oh and watch you dont kill the battery, keeping trying to start it...

so when i remove the distributor wot should i do? dry it off (if its wet) + put it back on?

if im getting a spark @ the plugs surely it cant be the distributor

just spray wd40 all over .. take plugs off of the sensors .. spray n put them back on .. spray leads etc ... worked with my shed anyway .. aint had a prob starting since

it has to be something to do with water as it was driven onto my driveway minutes before i started washing it

wheres your ecu?? is it under bonnet or in car?? could water be getting into that?

dunno wot to say .. other than trying to dry out everything ... if theres a spark at the spark plug end and theres fuel it should start ... nothing like a dodgy crank sensor?
does it try to start at all ?? kik or anything?

it tries to start but just doesnt.

car has now been inside a agrage for the last 5 days. battery aint to good @ the mo so im gonna try jump starting it.

after everyone saying it was the distributor i think im gonna have a bash at it

is this the disrtibutor here thats circled???

black bit will be the dizzy cap

the silver and black bit is the full dizzy

need to remove the black part and look inside at the contacts, the rotor arm will be atached to the silver part, u will see it when u remove the black cap

made a little cover to stop water hitting it through the vent, and ever since its ran great and not lumpy like it used to in wet weather

^ive sprayed this with wd40. should i take it off or leave it on?



^there appears to be 2 bolts holding this bit on


what do i remove next then + where am i looking for water/dampness?
