oi !!!!

I've worked there bout 11 months now an i know a fair bit about cars. You don't tend to get much (if any) training on parts of cars etc., so you have to pick it up yourself which is wot i've done. As for the interviews, you have one screening interview and another structured interview. Basically for your first you gotta be interested in the job you have applied for, you gotta show a slight interest in cars/ how they work etc. (basic knowledge really) and if they ask you what area of the store you would like to work, make sure you say anywhere to do with cars, cos if u say ripspeed it might seem that you are not flexible to move around job roles. Thats bout it really, its a short time so u gotta cram a lot in and give the right impression.

If u want anymore info just u2u me or post up here or whatever !!

it may be boring and tedious, but its still a part time job. better to do something that has a relation to cars than doing something completey mindless.

Why is a good question, a question i want answered.

USUALLY the peolpe that work at halfords have no knowledge, and usually can't help you at all, but think they know everthing when clearly they cannot.

Yer thats true but thats like any job!

Ive been working for halfords for nearly 3 years! 2 years before i went to uni and then i changed uni to save money and came back home so rejoined them.

I knew abit about cars before i first joined but since then ive really come into my own. As mentioned previously its not imperative that u know much about cars as you will defo pick things up from customers and fellow staff. I'm continually helpin out the lads and its good to see them asking questions cause they then know for future reference wot that bit does and so on, its like passing the knowledge on in a sort of way i suppose!

All in all I can think of worse peeps to work for part time, before i joined Halfords I wud have a new job every 3 months just got sick and tired of every job i did, then I joined halfords, a real lads environment plenty of fun to be had when u can get away with it and plenty of stuff to spend your money on when u get paid!

Anyway hope it goes well for ya!
