Might as well say what i've done now

Had the wheels re-conditioned and new tyres
Had the bonnet repaired (had cracked all the way accross so got it sorted, just for this summer ), Airdam repaired, new scuttle and spark plug cover sprayed.
Chrome, engine cover, coil cover, pulley cover, thermostate.
Polished, fuel rail and throttle bracket, dizzy and cam cover/dizzy central part,
was also hoping to pickup a few more chrome parts from germany
Fitted adapated and adjusted piper X 2.0 16v hoses (x13)
sprayed gearbox silver
Sprayed x4 calipers and baking plates and front stearing arms.

Quite a bit of personnal work and quite a lot of ££ and then all this happens. Not quite sure what a new wiring loom for both engine and electrical (poss both, maybe 1) is gonan cost, and taking out a corsa dash i know is a nightmare

Damn modified cars

I take it you were out of the car with the engine running when the car over heated.

Ah shit man.....that sucks

But as Jambo says your lucky your whole car didnt go on fire - That would really have sucked, and quite likely coulda happened by the sounds of it - youve been lucky in that aspect

There will be other shows

No, had just stopped outside the garage and steam poored out. Temp gauge was not working although that was a snapped cable at the thermostate. Ended up being the sensor on the rad not kicking the fan in till 100+, changed, left it running, got to 95 and fan kicked in (we had done other things first). Not had a problem with it since.

had been travelling at about 20mph along a twin laned road as DOnna had no front drivers brake working, left was just binding a bit as were the backs. Very badly though.

Donnas also lost out on the show as well, but fuck me, i've just had rotten luck. hers is working tip top again.
