recently i've been planning my next system and you will have noticed i've been asking some good and some stupid questions! ... just want to say thanks to all those that have given me help and to see what you think of my final setup?

Battery: uprated to optima yellow top - http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=221

Sound Deadening: Dynamat Extreme Bulk Pack - http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=2771

Headunit - Alpine CDA9831R - http://www.mcs-direct.co.uk/acatalog/MCS_DIRECT_CD_Tuner_46.html

Components - Rockford Fosgate FNQ3614
Two way 6 in component system 4 ohm - http://www.mcs-direct.co.uk/acatalog/MCS_DIRECT_Speakers_35.html

Components Amp - Rockford Fosgate 451S
115x2 @ 4 ohms, 225x2 @ 2 ohms, 450x1 @ 4ohms, 50-250Hz 24dB variable HP/AP/LP crossover, RCA Inputs, pass thru outputs, and Remote Punch Bass control in a silver cast aluminum heatsink - http://www.mcs-direct.co.uk/acatalog/MCS_DIRECT_Amplifiers_34.html

Subs: 2x Rockford Fosgate RFP4112
12" Punch HE2 DVC (2 ohms x 2) Subwoofer with Polypropylene cone, BART foam surround, LXursion basket, consealer gasket, Rubber magnet boot, 250 watts RMS/500 watts peak - http://www.mcs-direct.co.uk/acatalog/MCS_DIRECT_Subwoofers_58.html

Subs amp: Rockford Fosgate 1501BD
750x1 @ 4 ohms, 1500x1 @ 2 ohms, 50-250Hz 24dB variable LP crossover, Subsonic filter, RCA Inputs, Pass-thrus, and Remote Punch Bass control in a silver cast aluminum heatsink - http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=2035

that's the proposed plan, hopefully it will meet some approval but I need people to be honest about what they think of it.

... also I have been looking at all the wiring sets on caraudiodirect.co.uk and really need help with which would be best for each amp?! ... I don't want the system being let down by poor quality and sub-standard wiring.

thanks in advance for any comments

ok so here's the main thingy i have to decide - whether or not to run the whole system of a separate battery in the boot ...

scenario:

I do a lot of competative whitewater rodeo kayaking and train minimum 5 days a week. We can park our cars right next to wave on the river that we train on and regularly park the cars up and blast out the music so we have something to listen to whilst paddlin.

... if I have another battery installed it'll mean that the music can be pumped out until it runs flat without having to worry about the car not starting afterwards.

... is it an expensive job for someone to do? ... because I'd have to pay someone to do it cos it's beyond my ability
