i need to replace my tapets, i got told by a garage that you need to replace them all , as they are hydraulic is this the case? If yeh how much will i be looking at to have them replaced, the noise is driving me mad and makes my car sound like a pile of shit.

probably need a cam if tappets are nacked tho... be prepared, any grooves... game over camshaft

Get a haynes manual, it tells you how to recondition the hydraulic lifters, if you need to buy a new set, may as well save money and give this a go first.
