a wire map of the headunit b4 i cut it to join up with a new one! what does each wire do etc

Buy a wiring harness from Halfords. £9.99 well spent as there's very little chance of it going wrong, unlike if you bullet connect the wires in...

Cos the bullets come loose and fall off, then your h/u won't work and it's effort to keep on putting mew connections on when it goes wrong.... Not my car though, just the Halford's things are the best way of wiring it up I think...

yea i know what ur sayin but il be changin most of the wiring soon so not really worried!

so which wire is which?

which ones are speakers which ones are power etc

speakers will be the ones that use all the connections

power is on the bottom iirc and the mfd is the top one, could be the other way about though not 100% but the speakers are the centre block

should say on the back of the standard corsa hu what each wire does to some extent
