might be able to get something made up in Chrome maybe? there is a bloke on mig who makes stuff like that to order

You can do a good job of the 1.2 16v plastic top though if you spray it up

In reply to your question, nope, theres no chance at all the XE cover will fit the 1.2 block.

I dont think the 1.2 16v is even considered as a small block is it
