Is it possible for speed cameras to be lying along the road by 2 wires?

Was in a 30 zone, nowt around for about half a mile either side and there was 2 lines of wire along the road with a small box next to the lampost. Wouldnt of been arsed, but I was doin about 35.

Is this likely to have been a speed camera or am I just slightly paranoid?

Aye 2 black wires, about half a metre apart going across both sides of the road and a light grey box.

Cheers. The thing which made me doubt it definetly was one is there is another one where I go into work. (Metrocentre for the north-east CS members) and when you turn into the multistorey car park theres one there.

I doubt you'll get done for speeding in a multistorey entrance.

Thats me okay then.

More speed camera paranoia coming your way very shortly.

Yes
These are already in use on a Motorway up here (on trial)
They also read ur regestration number and can check how bald ur tyres are.
It doesn't report ur speed, but flashes it up on electronic billboards along with ur car details for other drivers to see who is breaking the law.
It's a 'name and shame' sort of idea.
But it won't be long til they are used to repot and fine u tho, definitely before 2010 I'd say.
