After getting my feckin standard CDR2005 and a steering wheel with audio controls I decide to go down to Vauxhall today to get them fitted.

Other cd player taken out, mine put in, and a steering wheel with audio controls fitted. Simple as, I thought.

Twenty minutes pass and out he comes. The steering wheel audio controls wont work cos of different wires or some shit.

Okay I goes, just put the cdr2005 in, take the cd player out & it doesnt matter about the steering wheel.

10 minutes later.

Whoever put your old cd player in has took the bracket things to put the cd player onto, so I havent got the parts and wont be able to put the cd player in.

Okay ( )can you order the parts in and I'll just drive round with a hole in the centre console. :mad

Comes back a few minutes later, Ive found some bracket thingys for you(Not his exact words ) so I can stick the cd player in for you.

One good thing gone right today I thought.

So he goes, right all done mate. You HAVE got the security code havent you.

No, I goes , but I can get it off where I bought it from yesterday.

So I've just rung them, and its on the back of the cd player WHICH HAS JUST BEEN FUCKIN INSTALLED

So, Im not going all the way back down just to ask them to take it out, get the code and stick it back in, so how do I slide the radio out, so I can write the security number and put it back together?

Thanks,
Pig fucking sick.

There should be at least 2 holes each side, usually 4 though. You will need to bend a coat hanger into a U shape and then slide the ends into the holes (1 coat hanger bit for each side).

If you dont fancy bending coat hangers, you can buy the 'tool' from halfords for around £4.

Once the hangers are pushed in the holes it should slide out.

Next installment of this saga.

Cant get this fucking cd player out.

Tried metal bits of coat hangers & no luck.

Went down to Halfords & bought the 2 metal rod things and its not budging.

Is there a specific way for the player to come out, ie; top bit out first, right hand side etc?

You would never make a scouser

Its difficult to describe put the pins should click in, and when they do it should slide out very easily. Dont be afraid to push them right in, even if the removal tools go too far the clips should still be released.

Well its going back to Vauxhall tomorrow.

Definetly got the pins all the way in.....they were pretty much stuck for 10 minutes.

My mams boyfriend can bench a hell of a fooking lot, and once they were clipped in, we still COULDNT get the cd player out.....or the pins.

I reckon he's installed it wrong. I reckon he's put the wrong bracket things on which he said he managed to get, and to hold the cd player in place.

It just WILL NOT/WOULD NOT budge. Didnt move an inch.
